New EU Envoy Visits Georgia
Visiting Peter Semneby, newly appointed EU’s Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus, will meet with Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli on March 20.
It is expected that issues related with the South Ossetian conflict resolution will top the agenda of this meeting.
The EU envoy, who arrived in Tbilisi on March 18, will also meet with the Georgian President, Chairman of the Supreme Court, parliamentarians and civil society representatives.
Swedish diplomat Peter Semneby took over the new position in February, replacing Heikki Talvitie.
