MFA Denies MIA Ex-Spokesman’s Appointment in Diplomatic Service
The Georgian Foreign Ministry denied media reports over the appointment of Guram Donadze, former spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), as the Assistant Consul of Georgia in one of the foreign countries.
Guram Donadze was dismissed by Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili on March 7. The official reason behind Donadze’s dismissal was “conflicting relations” with a number of journalists.
Donadze, together with several other top officials from the Interior Ministry, was allegedly linked to the murder case of Sandro Girgvliani.
