Georgian, Russian MPs Meets in Vienna

Georgian parliamentary delegations led by Chairperson Nino Burjanadze met with Russian First Deputy Duma Speaker Lyubov Sliska on February 23 on the sidelines of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Session in Vienna.

“Our Russian counterparts offered us to submit to them those two or three issues which Georgia finds the most concerning [in respect of bilateral relations] and they told us that they will discuss them,” Nino Burjanadze said after talks.

Lyubov Sliska told reporters before the meeting that Georgia should show restraint. “Russia is a huge state, but even a huge state might run out of patience,” she added.
