EU Envoy Visits South Ossetia

EU Special Representative to South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie held talks with South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity in Tskhinvali on January 24, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee (PIC) reported.
 
Kokoity said during the meeting that the South Ossetian side is ready ?to actively cooperate with all the mediators in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict,? according to the PIC.

He also said that the South Ossetian side is committed to follow all the agreements reached by the sides in order to foster peaceful resolution of the conflict.
 
Heikki Talvitie arrived in Georgia on January 23 and already held talks with Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli in Tbilisi.
