President Shevardnadze made his first comment concerning arresting the suspect in Sanaia’s murder. “According to the information I am reported, Giorgi Sanaia’s murder has no political motives”, Presidents Shevardnadze stated. He said he was sure that the case would be thoroughly investigated in the nearest future. Interior Affairs Minister stated late that day also that he is dubious about political motives of the murder.
