Uzbekistan Quits GUAM Treaties
Uzbekistani President Islam Karimov has ordered to denounce those agreements which were signed in frames of the GUUAM ? a grouping of Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Moldova.
Uzbekistan has officially announced that it quits the organization in May, 2005. As a result the name of organization was changed from GUUAM into GUAM.
As a result of withdrawal from the GUAM agreements Uzbekistan has finalized the formal procedures of quitting the grouping.
