OSCE Leads Crime Investigation Course in Police Academy

Twenty Georgian crime police instructors completed Monday the advanced crime investigation course at the Tbilisi Police Academy, which was a joint effort of the OSCE Missions to Georgia and Kosovo, OSCE Mission reported on December 19.


Within the framework of the OSCE Short-Term Assistance Programme, Georgian police instructors received training in human rights issues and democratic principles in crime prevention.


In order to further develop democratic values within the Georgian police, Ambassador Roy Reeve, the Head of OSCE Mission to Georgia, and Steve Bennett, the Director of the OSCE-run Kosovo Police Service School (KPSS), agreed to assign two experts from the KPSS to adapt and deliver the basic and advanced crime investigation courses for the Police Academy in Tbilisi.
