Okruashvili: Georgia will Restore Territorial Integrity in Five Years

Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili said on November 22 that in his ?personal opinion Georgia will restore territorial integrity in five years.?

Okruashvili, who was speaking in the live political talk show Pirvelebi (the Firsts) at the Tbilisi-based Imedi television, said that his ?well-founded optimism? is triggered by ?the United States? intention to actively participate in the conflict resolution issues.?

?Russia is no longer the sole, exclusive mediator between [the conflicting sides]. Although I have to mention that in case of Tskhinvali [capital of breakaway South Ossetia] Russia is not a mediator at all, because we have to deal with Russia there and not with those semi-bandit authorities in Tskhinvali,? Okruashvili said.
