Georgia Assists Azerbaijan with Voter Marking Equipment

Georgia will send voter marking equipment to Azerbaijan, where parliamentary elections will be held on November 6, Chairman of the Georgian Central Election Commission Gia Kavtaradze said on October 28.


This decision was made after a phone conversation between Georgian and Azerbaijani Presidents on October 27, the Azeri President?s press office reported.


The system of marking fingers with invisible ink to avoid double voting has been in practice in Georgia since the November 2003 parliamentary elections.
