EU Troika Visits Georgia
The delegation of the European Union Troika, be led by Simon Smith, Head of Eastern Department, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, will visit Georgia on October 25-26.
The delegation includes Sir Brian Fall, the UK Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Heikki Talvitie, EU Special Representative, Kurt Juul, the European Commission Head of Unit for the Southern Caucasus and Central Asia and Heidemaria Guerer from the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the members of the delegation will hold talks with President Saakashvili, Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze and other top officials.
A meeting with Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili will focus on launching consultations concerning Georgia?s EU Neighborhood Policy Action Plan, as well as Georgia-EU cooperation in the field of border reform and Georgia?s internal conflicts.
