NATO Envoy Visits Georgia

The NATO Secretary General?s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia countries Robert Simmons arrived in Tbilisi on October 24.


The issue of implementing Georgia?s Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP), which establishes specific defense and political reform goals for Georgia, will be discussed during the visit.


Robert Simmons will hold talks with President Saakashvili, Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili and other officials.


On October 25 the NATO envoy will attend the opening of the NATO Information Center in Tbilisi.
