Breakaway Abkhazia Celebrates ‘Independence’

Breakaway Abkhazia celebrates on September 30 its ‘independence day,’ marking the 12th anniversary of the withdrawal of the Georgian troops from the territory of Abkhazia.

Celebrations will mainly involve outdoor concerts and a rally at the Memorial of Honor in the capital Sokhumi, Apsnipress news agency reported. No military parade is planned in Abkhazia.
