Car Accident Kills Two, Injures Opposition Leader

Leader of the opposition Republican Party Davit Usupashvili, his wife Tina Khidasheli and their child were slightly injured in a car crash which involved another car in which two brothers, one an 11-year-old boy, died.

The incident occurred in western Georgia, while Usupashvili driving with his family en-route to Tbilisi late on August 24.

?I saw a car driving in front of us. It veered out of its lane into oncoming traffic. It was impossible to avoid the crash,? Usupashvili told reporters.

The police have already questioned Usupashvili, but law enforcers have made no comment yet regarding the incident.
