Kokoity, Bagapsh Meet in Gagra

Leaders of breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia Sergey Bagapsh and Eduard Kokoity, respectively, held second meeting for past two days in Abkhaz town of Gagra on July 26 and signed joint communique on cooperation between the two unrecognized republics, Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress reported.

The meeting which was described by the Abkhaz sources as ?official? was attended by the Foreign Ministers of the breakaway regions.

The two leaders discussed military and economic cooperation, as well as reiterated Russia?s leading role in peace process to solve Abkhaz and South Ossetian conflicts, according to the Apsnipress.

Bagapsh and Kokoity have also expressed readiness to promote democracy in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Eduard Kokoity, who reportedly spends vocation with family in Abkhazia, held unofficial meeting with Bagapsh on July 25.
