Sokhumi Wants Tbilisi to Compensate War Damage

Abkhaz Parliament Speaker Nugzar Ashuba said, during an interview with the Russian online news service Kavkazky Uzel on July 5, that the Parliament of the breakaway region will discuss the issue of compensation of damage caused by the Georgian side during the armed conflict in 1992-93.
 
According to the Abkhaz Speaker, the damage caused by the war amounts to USD 13 billion. ?The Abkhaz side refrained putting forward this demand in order not to hamper peace talks, but we will not keep silent any more,? Nugzar Ashuba said.
