Russian Security Official Visits Georgia over South Ossetia
Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Yuri Zubakov will arrive in Georgia on July 5 to discuss the issues of peaceful settlement of the South Ossetian conflict, RIA Novosti reports.
Yuri Zubakov will be accompanied by Valerie Kenyaikin, the Russian Foreign Ministry?s special envoy, who represents the Russian side at the quadripartite Joint Control Commission (JCC), which oversees a ceasefire in the South Ossetian conflict zone.
It is anticipated that the Russian officials will hold talks with Secretary of the Georgian National Security Council (NSC) Gela Bezhuashvili and State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava.
