Protesters Sentenced to Administrative Detention

The Tbilisi court sentenced eight people – out of ten – who were arrested during a protest rally on Rustaveli Avenue late on June 30, to an eight-day administrative detention on July 1.
 
The two other persons, one of which is suspected of robbery and the other of participating in the riot in the court chamber that occurred on June 30 during the arraignment of two Georgian athletes, will face criminal charges.
