Georgia Sets up Military Police
Parliament approved on July 1 amendment to the law on police, envisaging setting up of a military police, which will be in charge of maintaining order and discipline in the military units.
Despite this formal go-ahead given by the Parliament to the Defense Ministry to start creation of the military police, the Parliament will have to adopt a separate law, which will determine in details responsibilities and structure of the military police.
