U.S.-EU Summit Discusses Georgia, Ukraine

U.S. President George W. Bush said after an annual U.S.-EU Summit in Washington on June 20 that issues related with Georgia and Ukraine were also discussed during the meeting.


?We talked about the Ukraine and Georgia, as well as the Balkans. The point is that we understand that democratic nations are nations that are — will answer to the hopes and aspirations of their people, and democratic nations are nations that will help us keep the peace,? George Bush said.


Javier Solana, Foreign Policy Chief of the European Union, Jean-Claude Juncker, European Union President and EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso also participated in this summit.
