IAEA Inspectors Hold Talks with Georgian Government
A team of inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who arrived in Georgia on June 19 on a three-day visit, is holding talks with the members of the Georgian government.
The members of the delegation will meet with the Interior and Environment Ministers, as well as the representatives of the Foreign Ministry.
During the visit the IAEA inspectors will discuss the issues related to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
The delegation will also look into the possibility of visiting Georgia?s breakaway region of Abkhazia to find any weapons-grade plutonium or highly enriched uranium that may have gone missing from a nuclear institute in Abkhazia.
