S.Ossetia Offers Bounty for Information on Missing Georgians
Authorities in breakaway South Ossetia offered 50,000 Russian Rubles (approximately USD 1,700) as a reward for valuable information that may help ?find out the whereabouts of the missing four Georgian citizens,? the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported on June 14.
The South Ossetian side has also denied reports by the Georgian Interior Ministry claiming that two Ossetians – Rudik Bestaev and Atsamas Kochiev – are behind the abduction of the four Georgians.
?There is no facts that can confirm that these two men are linked with the disappearance of the Georgian citizens,? the statement issued by the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reads.
