PABSEC General Assembly Meets in Kiev

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) will hold the 25th Plenary Session of its General Assembly on 7-9 June in Kiev.


According to a news release issued by PABSEC, the general debate, which usually takes place on the first day of the General Assembly, will be devoted to ?The Enlargement of the European Union and the Black Sea Region: New Models of Cooperation?.


A Georgian parliamentary delegation, led by Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Mikheil Machavariani, will also participate in the plenary session.


12 countries – Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Russian Federation, Serbia and Montenegro, Ukraine and Turkey –  constitute the BSEC, which was set up in 1993 to enhance cooperation among its members.
