Saakashvili Wants Putin to Visit Georgia
Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili said at a joint news briefing after the talks with visiting Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov on June 3 that he is ready to visit Moscow, but wants ?to host Russian President Vladimir Putin first.?
?We will possibly sign the framework agreement, but even if it does not occur [signing of this agreement], I will host Russian President with great pleasure,? Mikheil Saakashvili said.
He reiterated that Georgia wants to establish good neighbor relations with Russia.
After Tbilisi and Moscow agreed over timeframe of Russian military bases withdrawal, finalization of comprehensive framework agreement became more feasible.
