Zhvania’s Widow, Brother Meet President, Chief Prosecutor
Brother and widow of Georgia’s late Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania met with President Saakashvili and General Prosecutor Zurab Adeishvili on May 28 and informed them about those doubts which they have regarding the investigation of Zhvania’s death.
After the meeting, which was also attended by Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli, Goga Zhvania, brother of late PM and Zhvania’s widow Nino Zhvania told reporters that despite their claims and evidence put forward during the meeting, the General Prosecutor’s Office “firmly adheres its position” and considers an accident as the only reason behind Zhvania’s death.
The family members of Zurab Zhvania claim that the late Prime Minister was killed and dismiss the official version of death, which says that Zhvania died of carbon-monoxide poisoning due to faulty gas heating device, as groundless.
