Georgia Announces Tender Offer to Operate Poti Port
Georgian Economy Minister announced on May 28 that authorities are expecting bids for a tender offer to operate several piers in Georgia?s Black Sea port of Poti.
?This is not a privatization. The company, which wins the tender, will have a right to operate port?s piers for a [unspecified] long-term period. The company will also have to rehabilitate these piers,? Lexo Alexishvili, the Georgian Economy Minister said on May 28, while speaking with reporters in Poti.
