Bush Welcomed in Historic Old Tbilisi

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili hosted his visiting U.S. counterpart George W. Bush in the old part of Tbilisi shortly after the latter’s arrival in the capital city in the evening on May 9. The two Presidents attended a performance of the Georgian national dance.

After spending about 40 minutes at the outdoor performance, a clapping and hip-shaking President Bush unexpectedly rushed on the stage for a hand-shake with the dancers.

After the performance, President Saakashvili hosted President Bush for an official dinner at a restaurant located in the historic section of the capital city.
