President Visits Flood-Hit Svaneti

President Saakashvili visited on April 30 the Svaneti region in western Georgia, which suffered largely due to recent floods which hit most of the regions of Georgia last week.

In the Lentekhi district of Svaneti region he pledged to the locals that the government will pay compensation for those 120 local families whose houses were completely destroyed by floods and landslides there.
