PM Visits Flood-Stricken Svaneti

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli is visiting the Mestia district of high mountain region of Svaneti in north-eastern Georgia, where number of villages still remain isolated as a result of flooding.

The Svaneti region has suffered greatest damage as a result of floods. The Prime Minister has already met with the local population and pledged support to them. President Saakashvili also plans to visit Svaneti region on April 30.
