Sokhumi Holds Military Exercises

A large-scale, four-day military training is planned in breakaway Abkhazia from April 18-21.
 
According to Anatoly Zaytsev, chief of staff of the Abkhaz military, some 3000 troops, including the regular army and reserve troops, as well as the navy, air force and tank battallions, will take part in these military exercises, which are scheduled to take place near the capital, Sokhumi.

He also said that the aim of these trainings is “to improve command and perfect the skills of the troops.”
