Saakashvili Calls for ‘Warming’ Relations with Russia
President Mikheil Saakashvili said on April 13, while commenting on the nomination of Irakli Chubinishvili as Georgia’s new Ambassador to Russia, that “warming bilateral relations will be his main task.”
Chubinishvili, formerly chief of the President’s Administration, was nominated as Georgia’s Ambassador on April 12.
“Through this appointment we have stressed the fact how important relations with Russia are for us,” Saakashvili said while speaking at the government’s session.
