Bagapsh Hails Talks with Putin, Kokoity
President of the unrecognized Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh hailed the talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity held in Russia?s Black Sea resort of Sochi on April 5, Apsnypress reports.
The issues of peaceful resolution of Abkhaz and South Ossetian conflicts, as well as particular economic issues were discussed during the ?unscheduled talks? with the Russian President, according to Apsnypress.
Moscow proposed the Georgian side to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia ? Sergey Bagapsh and Eduard Kokoity – in Russia?s Black Sea resort of Sochi. However, President Saakashvili rejected this proposal, saying that ?this kind of meeting will make sense only if it is well-prepared in advance.?
