British LIB Becomes Largest Shareholder of Investbank

London International Bank Limited (LIB Ltd.) purchased those 25% of Tbilisi-based Investbank, which were owned by the Georgian Pragmatica Ltd. In addition LIB Ltd. has injected funds into the share capital of Investbank and consequently has become the company?s largest shareholder with a shareholding of 32%.

No amount of deal, which was singed in late March, is reported.

?By becoming the largest shareholder of Investbank, the LIB Ltd. seeks to develop Investbank together with local management, to leverage on its own international platform, and to introduce investment banking products in the Georgian market,? the Investbank reported.
