Berezovsky Visited Georgia
Self-exiled Russian tycoon Boris Berezonvsky visited Georgia on April 2 and met with Tbilisi-based influential media and financial tycoon Badri Patarkatsishvili.
?I informed the Georgian leadership in advance that my friend, Boris Berezonvsky, intended to arrive for a brief visit. And it was not his first visit,? Badri Patarkatsishvili told reporters on April 4.
Berezovsky, who is wanted by Russia for fraud allegations, has been living in the United Kingdom since 2000. He has been granted political asylum in Britain.
Berezovsky briefly visited Georgia for the first time after Russia issued an arrest warrant against him, in December, 2003, an act that triggered the Russian side to protests against the Georgian authorities.
