Bagapsh Rejects Tbilisi, Batumi as Venue of Talks with Saakashvili

Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh reiterated his readiness to hold talks with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, however added that he will not arrive for talks in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, or in Batumi, Adjara Autonomous Republic, as was proposed by the Georgian side.

?I am ready to meet with anyone, including Saakashvili. However, the meeting of such a level should be prepared ahead… This meeting will not be held in either Tbilisi or in Batumi. I simply will not go there,? news agency Apsnypress quotes Bagapsh as saying at a news briefing in Sokhumi on March 30. Bagapsh refrained, however, from specifying which venue he would prefers for these talks.
