Saakashvili Comments on Bush’s Possible Visit to Georgia

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on March 24, while commenting on unofficial reports regarding the possible visit of U.S. President George W. Bush to Georgia, that it is “the White House prerogative to announce about this.”

“Let’s wait for an official notification from the White House about it,” Saakashvili told reporters.

Georgian media sources reported on March 24 that George W. Bush may arrive in Tbilisi from Moscow on May 10 after he visits Moscow, where he will participate in the 60th anniversary celebrations for the Victory in World War II on May 9. President Saakashvili also plans to participate in this event in Moscow.
