Georgian Coast Guard Detains Russian Ship
On March 19 the Georgian Coast Guard detained a ship sailing under the Russian flag en route to Batumi, the Adjara Autonomous Republic, for alleged violation of navigation rules.
All 15 members of the crew are citizens of the Russian Federation, the Georgian Border Guard Department reports.
According to the Georgian Border Guard Department, the owner of the ship will have to pay a fine of 50,000 Lari (approximately USD 27,000).
