New Chief of Abkhaz President’s Administration Appointed

Valery Arshba, former Vice-President of breakaway Abkhazia, was appointed as chief of the President’s Administration of the unrecognized republic, the Abkhaz news agency Apsnypress reported on February 15.  
 
Valery Arshba has held the position of de facto Vice-President of Abkhazia for the past 10 years. He was sacked by ex-President Vladislav Ardzinba on November 17.
