Saakashvili: Abkhaz Polls Illegal

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili describes the January 12 presidential polls in breakaway Abkhazia as illegitimate, saying that ?the elections in Abkhazia can be considered legal, only when both ethnic Abkhazians and Georgians participate in it.?

Saakashvili said that he does not intend to congratulate Sergey Bagapsh on his victory in the presidential polls.
 
?We will congratulate ourselves on the victory, when Georgia reintegrates,? Saakashvili told reporters on January 13.
