Journalists met Khurtsilava and interviewed him. The suspect said he met Sanaia late at night by chance. He could not recognize him but followed to his apartment. Khurtsilava said he shot him because of an argument. He said the murder was not intended and had no political motive.  “I was in the state of passion while shooting”, he stated.
