Bagapsh Condemns Russia’s Interference in Abkhaz Elections

Abkhaz opposition leader Sergey Bagapsh said in the interview with Russian news agency Regnum on December 1 that Russia has no right to examine the documents of the Abkhaz Central Election Commission (CEC).
 
A group of legal experts from the Russian Central Election Commission, as well as top officials from the Russian Interior Ministry, is visiting Sokhumi to get acquainted with the current situation and examine the documentation of the Abkhaz CEC.
 
“Of course, they can get acquainted with the current situation in Abkhazia. We can acquaint our Russian guests with the materials regarding the elections, however examination of these documents is not the prerogative of Russian law-enforcement agencies and the CEC of another state,” Regnum quotes Bagapsh as saying.
