U.S. Delegation over Arms Control Visits Georgia

A delegation of the U.S. Department of Defense International Counter proliferation (ICP) Program will pay a fact-finding visit to Georgia on November 8-10.

Georgia?s possible involvement in the ICP program will be discussed during the delegation’s talks with Georgian officials, including Chairman of the Georgian Border Guard Department Badri Bitsadze.

The mission of the Defense International Counterproliferation (ICP) Program is designed to counter the threat of the proliferation of arms and weapons of mass destruction materials and technologies across borders and through the former Soviet states and Eastern Europe.

The ICP Program provides a range of law enforcement and border security training and equipment to countries participating in the program.
