Georgian-language News Launched on Tskhinvali TV
A Georgian-language news program was launched at the local Ossetian television station in the capital of the breakaway republic of South Ossetia, Tskhinvali, on July 4.
The Georgian-language program, run by local Ossetian journalists, will be broadcast weekly.
On June 7 a Georgian state radio station started airing a two-hour daily program in the Ossetian language, for the Ossetian-speaking population living in the Georgian breakaway region.
A short news program in the Ossetian language is also aired on Georgian State Television.
