Security Minister Reportedly Left for Adjara
Unofficial reports say Georgian Security Minister Zurab Adeishvili left for Adjara late on May 4.
Secretary of the National Security Council Vano Merabishvili refrained from commenting regarding the report.
“We can not say where Zurab Adeishvili is at the moment,” he told Rustavi 2 television on May 5.
However, he confirmed that talks are being held with “top officials of the Adjarian government over defecting Abashidze.”
“And these talks are coordinated by Zurab Adeishvili [the Georgian Security Minister],” Vano Merabishvili said.
