Ruling Party Insists on Abashidze’s Resignation

Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Defense and Security Givi Targamadze said on April 29, that talks with Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze might only be held to discuss the conditions of his resignation.

“No other issues will be discussed in case of negotiations,” Targamadze told the reporters.

Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze has earlier called on the central authorities to settle the crisis between Tbilisi and Batumi through dialogue.
