CoE Envoy Meets Adjarian Leader

Plamen Nikolov, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) to Georgia, is holding a meeting with Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze in Batumi on April 5.
 
“We will discuss the results of the March 28 parliamentary elections, as well as further developments in the region. The Council of Europe hails the Georgian authorities initiative over restoration of a dialogue with the region’s leadership,” Plamen Nikolov told reporters before the meeting with Abashidze on April 5.
 
He stressed the necessity of distribution of powers between the central government and Adjarian authorities.
