Tbilisi, Batumi to Distribute Constitutional Rights
Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania said that Georgia’s central authorities and Adjarian leadership will start drafting a document, which would envisage distribution of the constitutional rights between the Adjarian Autonomy and the central government.
“Joni Khetsuriani [Chairman of Constitutional Court] is in Batumi to discuss the issue,” Zurab Zhvania told reporters.
In February Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) Walter Schwimmer proposed Tbilisi and Batumi to start working over the draft law and offered the CoE expertise to assist in this process.
