Zhvania, Abashidze to Hold Talks

State Minister Zurab Zhvania will visit the Adjarian capital of Batumi to hold talks with Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze.

“We will discuss the relations between the central and regional authorities, and settle the disputable budgetary issues. We will also agree on the terms of holding the parliamentary elections in the country,” Zurab Zhvania said on December 30.

The State Minister hailed the decision of the Adjarian leader about the participation of the Autonomous Republic in the January 4 presidential elections. Previously Aslan Abashidze threatened with boycotting the presidential elections.

This will be the second visit of Zurab Zhvania to the Autonomous Republic in December.
