Armenia, Georgia Pledge Cooperation
Georgian State Minister Zurab Zhvania, who arrived in Armenia on December 29 on a one-day official visit, discussed the issue of bilateral cooperation with Armenian President Robert Kocharyan.
As the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports, the sides stressed the importance of activation and strengthening of the Armenian-Georgian relationship, especially after the January 4 presidential elections in Georgia.
Later on December 29 Zhvania met with Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, who said that the Georgian-Armenian relationship is a guarantee of stability in the South Caucasus.
The Georgian and Armenian sides stressed the necessity of further integration of Georgia and Armenia into the European structures.
