The New Rights party does not intend so far to join the protest rallies, planned by the National Movement and Burjanadze-Democrats.

Davit Gamkrelidze, the leader of New Rights, said at a news briefing today that the New Rights will protect their votes at the district election commissions and not in the streets.

He said the party would manage to gain at least 25-30 seats in the new Parliament.

Earlier today the Burjanadze-Democrats election bloc, the Unity party and representatives of the civil society joined the National Movement’s initiative to stage a protest rallies in case the authorities do not stop manipulation of the election results.
