Burjanadze Hails Unification with Traditionalists

Parliamentary Chairperson and the leader of the election bloc Burjanadze-Democrats welcomed today the Traditionalists party?s decision to unite with the Burjanadze-Democrats.

?This is a positive decision. We do not hold consultations with other opposition parties over the unification, as creation of the broad opposition alliance is not possible any more,? Nino Burjanadze said today in the town of Kutaisi.

She also said that the opposition parties agreed ?to protect each others votes against the fraud.?

The Burjanadze-Democrats will announce officially about unification with the Traditionalists party after Nino Burjanadze returns from her hometown Kutaisi, where she holds the election campaign right now.

Nino Burjanadze intends to run for MP in the Kutaisi constituency.
